A MESSAGE FROM MY AUNT CHANTEL AND UNCLE GOO GOO
To Every Person Who Sent Condolences and/or Donations:
We can’t tell you how grateful we are for all of the condolences and donations that we received here. During this difficult time, our family has received an outpouring of kindness, love, and generosity that was unexpected. Because of the people who donated here and many other friends and family, we were able to have a beautiful viewing and service. We were able to say goodbye to Alyssa in a way that reflected the beautiful, caring young woman she was and how much she was loved by so many. So many people came to mourn with us and express their love in ways that are too many to list here. There were those who stepped up to help us with words of encouragement, every little detail of the arrangements, and the donations that made those arrangements possible. Thank you from the very bottom of our hearts for holding us up while we got through this.
You are appreciated more than you know,
Sincerely,
Chantel Candelario and Eric Ontiveros
Her life was cut so short that there was no time to plan for what comes after. Things like this are what you read about in the paper or hear about on the news, but you never think it will happen to you or to your loved ones. It’s not because bad things don’t happen to you because Lord knows that our family has had its share of heart ache, and even when we worried about her, we never let our mind go to a place of such permanence. She was so full of energy and life that it’s too hard to believe she isn’t coming back. We’re left with nothing but questions about what happened and why and how it could have happened. For those of you who are unaware of the situation, our precious Alyssa was involved in a fatal car accident on Friday, and we lost her forever. For those of you who have reached out, your calls and condolences have meant so much to us. Now, before we have time to grieve, before we can mourn the loss of our beautiful Alyssa, the reality of how unprepared we really are sets in. We are putting our pride aside for Alyssa and writing with so much humility to ask our friends and family to help us bury our girl with grace and dignity. We understand that times are difficult, and we are learning first hand all the areas that have been affected by extremely high prices, so we are asking those of you are financially able to help in this difficult time. The amount we are asking for help with is just a little over half of what they require to bury Alyssa. With this being so unexpected, we aren’t able to gather it all before the due date the cemetery and mortuary have set. We are grateful for any help, and we thank you all for your love and prayers.
