Help Erika Heal
Donation protected
When you're young and healthy, you never dream that you'll be faced with a life event that changes everything you've ever known. Not knowing what tomorrow holds is a very scary thing.
Erika is facing these challenges and fears every day after unexpectedly suffering a massive stroke this last Saturday, April 9th, at just 36 years old. Erika currently works as a pediatric nurse at Phoenix Children's Hospital and also cares for sick people in their homes as an infusion nurse. She has dedicated the last 14 years of her life caring for others, including her 2 daughters, raising them as a single mom. In addition, Erika was very involved in many charitable organizations where she has donated her time and money to help others, including a medical mission in Kenya and Kidney Camp through PCH.
Erika is currently in the ICU struggling for the medical stability needed to transfer to an inpatient rehab. Unfortunately, her stroke has left her with deficits which will keep her from driving, caring for herself independently, or working. Her inability to bring in an income at this time has the potential to be devastating to her family between medical bills, household liabilities, and caring for her 2 children.
We are initiating this fundraiser in hopes of alleviating some of Erika's financial strain so that she can focus her energies on recovery and rest. With all Erika has done to always prioritize others, we hope that we will be able to make sure she has the opportunity to take time to care for herself.
Please consider donating and of course, good thoughts and prayers are always greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
