Welcome Home Nicole and Jordan!

Hi friends!
I met Nicole and her amazing son Jordan at GLIDE. Nicole is a devoted single mother who works security. Jordan is a sweet 5-year-old boy who loves cars, number books, tablet music, and cocomelon.
Unfortunately, Nicole and her son fell into homelessness about a year ago and have been living in the shelter system and temporary housing in the Bay Area. They've been through more than a mom and young son should have to.
When you are homeless, securing housing in the bay area is INCREDIBLY hard, with many hurdles you have to overcome. Add to that being a single mother and trying to make ends meet each day. But through hard work, determination, and an indeterminable spirit -- Nicole has been able to secure permanent housing for Jordan and herself. Now, I want to support Nicole and Jordan by helping make their new house a HOME.
All funds raised will be used to help furnish Nicole's new place so that it feels safe, comfortable, and happy for her and for Jordan. A place they can feel at HOME each morning when they wake up, and every night when they go to bed.
The funds will be used to help provide furniture, home goods, and other basic household items that we so easily take for granted every day. All remaining funds will be given directly to Nicole to help support her and her son in this new beginning.
Moving from homelessness into stable housing is far more difficult than it should be, but Nicole has persevered. I hope you can join me in supporting a wonderful community member, a single mother, a young boy, and a beautiful family on their new journey.
With love and gratitude,
Emily
