Help support the McCroskey family

Hello community - it pains us to be in this position asking for this type of support, but it is absolutely necessary and we can't do it alone.

As I'm sure most of you know by now, during the past few months Joe has experienced some severe health concerns, and ultimately been diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer called glioblastoma multiforme (grade 4). More details and updates on the trajectory of events here:

Due to the severity of the cancer, the recommendations of friends/doctors, and what we believe Joe would want, our family has decided to pursue an alternative form of treatment in hopes of creating a comfortable setting for Joe and Tammy to rest and be taken care of right now. This treatment program is called Oasis of Hope and resides in Tijuana, Mexico. (https://www.oasisofhope.com/) They use a Contreras Alternative Cancer Treatment (C-ACT) that employs various therapeutic elements focused on killing cancer cells directly and more efficiently, while alleviating the toxic risk to the healthy cells. Their aim is to provide an all-inclusive, concierge style experience for their patients, and create community, healing, and restoration for both the patient and a loved one (in this case: Joe and Tammy). As soon as possible, we are hoping to be able to fund their "vacation" out to Mexico and back, taking the financial burden off of the McCroskeys to fund a treatment option.

If you or anyone you know has been touched by Joe's infectious charisma and playfulness, been on the receiving end of his many outreach endeavors, surfed with him, played ultimate frisbee together, been one of his students (or one of his teachers!), or any of the myriad of other ways he may have shown you love: I implore you to donate what you can towards helping him get some high quality care at this time. We are all trying to do what we can to give back to someone who has given so much in his life.

Finally, I want to extend a huge thank you to all the wonderful people who have already come through to help out by keeping Joe company, bringing gifts, flowers, and smiles, giving Tammy support and helping her maintain some routine in her life, offering kind and loving words as well as important advice, providing meals, outings, and prayers to make these moments feel special, and so much more. As Tammy calls them, "The Hubbysitters" and "Joe Team", we are deeply grateful for all you are doing for our family.
