Deborah McDaniel Mem'l for her sons

Donation protected
Deborah had been walking thru dark times for quite awhile now when she finally could deal with life no longer. She left two beautiful amazing teenage  boys and a brother and sister-in-law and another brother-in-law who had been married to her sister, Stephanie, who predeceased Debbie.  Everyone who knew Debbie tried to reach out but it wasn't something any one of us could change.

Wayne McCuan III, the boys' uncle, will be taking custody and is working closely with Wade, her brother, to make sure all of the boys' needs are met and that they can remain in the neighborhood where they have been raised. I spoke with Wayne this morning about where he needs the most help. I told him that friends of Debbie were inquiring and he was quite humbled. He has to rent another house in Spring Branch (so the boys can stay at Spring Woods).  His aging and ill parents live with him now in the house he owns in Campbell Woods and he has made the house handi-accessible for them, but they were already on top of each other before this happened. He has his own daughter to care for as well. He had cots for the boys set up in the living room when I visited last night. Sadly enough, BOTH of Wayne’s parents were in the hospital this week. His mother is still hospitalized. Wayne was in the hospital with his father when he received some of Debbie’s last text messages. As service in the hospital was sporadic, he didn’t see them timely and didn’t focus on the severity of her messages.

He wants to keep Logan in Naval Academy activities, which is expensive, but has done Logan so much good.

Wayne has to, of course, feed these guys – teenage boys can consume a massive amount – especially when they are 6’7 and 6’8” and into sports…then, there are clothes that need to be bought at specialty stores because of their height.

Honestly, at first, I cringed at the idea of a Go Fund Me or setting up a trust because you just never know how the money will actually be used.  However, in this situation, I honestly believe everything will be used for the boys and Wayne needs to take care of the kids now.

Wayne works as a service advisor at the Spring Branch Honda dealership working 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

He did not ask for assistance; but, said in response to my question as to what we could do, replied that anything would help, hence this GFM. He had been helping Debbie financially for the past several years and I fully believe that anything we give him will be used for those kids. They are blessed beyond measure to have this guy in their corner, especially now.  If anyone is unable to contribute financially, we all understand that but please remember - prayers are PRICELESS and SO needed for this family!!

Thank you!!!!!
