Mavericks Volunteer Rescue Team
Donation protected
The Mavericks Volunteer Rescue Team is a network of highly experienced Big Wave PWC/RWC Rescue Boat Operators and spotters on the Northern California Coast that donate their time serving the Mavericks and local Surfing Community by volunteering their time and equipment to provide a safety net over not only the Mavericks line-up but the North Coast on all major swell events.
The Mavericks Rescue Team responds to a wide variety of SAR (search and rescue) situations, ranging from life-threatening and non-life threatening rescues and injuries, vessel assistance, shark patrol, Ocean Safety Education, and crowd control. Although they place themselves and their equipment in harm's way, they are all highly trained in their craft and apply the risk management technique of lifesaving.
The Mavericks Rescue Team has trained with and is instructors with B.W.R.A.G, The Hawaiin Water Patrol, and K38, to name a few... These are some of the world's best watermen looking over the North Coast. Please consider a small donation to purchase and maintain new and current equipment.
To date, the Mavericks Rescue Gofundme campaigns have raised money to purchase portable Oxygens units, an AED Unit, Advanced First Aid Kits, CPR/AED Training and training equipment, Fuel, PWC Trailer, VHF Handheld Radios and harnesses, Binoculars, and much more to support the teams and the North Coast. Thank you for your support!!
