Support a Safe Home for Our Family

Hello, I am raising funds to finish up a home that my husband and I are purchasing through a land contract. I work full-time as a PCA, and my husband is on disability due to his poor health.

The apartment we are currently residing in has black mold and a toilet that takes 10-20 flushes to go down due to the tank needing to be emptied. The landlord will not address these issues. My husband has asked him numerous times to fix the problem, but he's ignored our plea.

We've since found out he wants us out so he can rent for a higher price, which is fine because we're moving into our new home as soon as we can finish sheetrock, painting, and installing cabinets. My husband is really trying to get it done, but with his deteriorating health and our lack of funds, it's proving difficult. If we could raise the $5000, we would have enough to finish up and maybe have enough to pay for help.

We have to get out of our current situation soon. The house, my husband feels, is making him sick, and we've been sleeping in the living room due to the black mold in the other end of the trailer. We also have our 4-year-old granddaughter we're raising due to my daughter passing in 2023. I know times are tough for so many, and I would greatly appreciate any help to get us in our home.
