Hi, my name is Sandy. My daughters and I suffered a significant setback this holiday. After 20 years of marriage, I decided to leave my husband. I didn't want to be a statistic or victim of a violent marriage. The violence escalated, and I knew I had to do what was best for the girls and me. My estranged husband decided to destroy the home we made for our family. He broke or destroyed everything dear to me. He cut electrical cords to lights, cameras, sofas, microwaves, hair dryers, speakers and TVs. My craft area was turned upside down. It looked like a tornado when through there. He broke my printer, Cricut machine, and heat press and burned my laptop. I had to get a Protective Order to remove him from the house. I am asking for help to repay the people that helped me. I had to get a lawyer, replace the locks and cameras, and repair our home. With the holidays coming up, I want to give my girls a Christmas as normal as possible.

I want the girls to know they don't have to stay in a bad relationship. And women can stand on their own 2 feet and do things alone. It's better to be alone for the right reasons than to be with someone for all the wrong reasons.
