K9 Hugo's surgery (bone cancer in leg))
Donation protected
I'm reaching out to my friends and family to help pay for K9 Hugo's surgery.
K9 Hugo has developed bone cancer, the size of a softball underneath his left rear leg, approximately 2 and 1/2 months ago. The bone cancer is located in the femur bone and most likely have to be removed and amputated. This will allow my canine to live a longer life with three legs. I believe this was the best decision instead of going chemotherapy under radiation for 6 months or more leaving no guarantee for cure and having the possibility of regrowth of the tumor.
The past two weeks, the cancer has gotten bigger, even though Hugo is on heavy medication to reduce the cancer from spreading. Hugo's leg is starting to swell.
This is a common thing in large breed.
As a May 1st 2020 , I am no longer canine officer due to Hugo's injury and other circumstances. K9 Hugo is well known and we'll liked by the community, local agencies and employees, friends and people that visited community hospital. K9 Hugo has served 5 years with community hospital of the Monterey peninsula. I don't want his life to end to soon. Hugo still has five to six more years to live.
With the surgery, medications and follow-ups, every penny would be used on K9 Hugo.
When this procedure starts on May 29th 2020, I will post his stages of recovery.
Thank you for everyone, in advance, for the donations, love and care and forever friendship that you have with K9 Hugo.
Let's do this, help me get the funds so we can get going with this procedure and give K9 Hugo back his normal life..
Thank you so much
Kimilyn
