Noah's Hearing Aids Fund
Donation protected
This is Noah: sweet, charismatic and full on energy.
When Noah was born 4 1/2 years ago, he initially failed the hospital hearing test. After numerous visits to the audiologist, and a few more failed hearing tests, a BAER test finally determined Noah could hear. We were so relieved. Everything was going to be ok.
Then, about six months ago, we noticed Noah became very loud when he spoke and played; louder than any other four-year-old little boy we had ever been around. We also noticed him asking us to turn the volume on the television and radio up past normal volume levels. When we spoke to him he often looked at us puzzled and would ask us to repeat ourselves, saying he could not hear what we said.
Appointments were scheduled, and on New Year's Eve 2014 it was determined that Noah had severe hearing loss in both ears. We now know he needs hearing aids in both ears, in order to hear, and to continue normal development. His hearing loss is considered to be a sensory neural loss, and is hereditary, as it runs in his family.
Our medical insurance does not cover the cost of any hearing aids, and so we are seeking help to offset the cost of the aids, which Noah needs in order to be successful with his continued development and when he starts kindergarten this fall.
You're help is greatly appreciated! Thank you!!!!
