Little George this is his story

Hi 0ur names are Chris and John and we live next door to George ,our dog Dezel is great friends with George and although we are reticent about asking for money from all you good people, we feel that on this occasion pride must take a back seat.

In July George started to loose his ability to walk and was prescribed Acupuncture and pain management,however his condition deteriorated rapidly and was referred to the Willows in Solihull for an MRI scan

(There are no such facilities in Wales for animals) .

This scan showed one of his disc's had slipped and fluid had solidified over four disc's. George was booked in for surgery the following Monday but again he deteriorated his back legs had total paralysis so was rushed in on the Sunday ( the Willows charge an extra £1,000 for weekend surgery). He was cut straight down his back and needed nine stitches.

The vets bill at the Willows is £8.000 ,his insurance covers £4.000 and Anna Jackson his "mum" has paid £1.500 so there is a shortfall of £2.500 so we are trying to raise money to cover the excess and ongoing medication so far the medication from the Willows is paracetamol at £58 for 30, Gabapentin £46 for 90, for 30ml of Metacam £27 the MRI scan amounted to a whopping £2.600 so as we can get these meds a little cheaper we still have the outstanding bill from the Willows and of course there is ongoing meds and treatment probably physio and hydrotherapy.

Having George put down is unthinkable as he is such a happy loving dog and loves everyone that he meets.
