Annie's Medical Camp Fund

Hello, my name is Annie Chow. I'm a 10th grader and I have a passion for medicine. Ever since I was 8 years old I knew I wanted to become a doctor. I've been doing everything I can to achieve my goal, from participating in medical competitions, and going to medical conventions, to joining the medical academy my school offers, taking pre-med college classes, and volunteering at the blood banks my school hosts.
I'm trying to raise money because I've recently received an invitation to the National Youth Leaderiship Forum (NYLF): Medicine that'll take place this summer. There are many things this program provides, some of them being the opportunity of participating in a state-of-the-art stimulation center where I will train like a professional and gain a hands-on experience in a variety of medical procedures and technologies with the guidance from experts. This curriculum also provides an emergency medical training program where I will learn how to provide medical help in case of an emergency when health care is hours away. Through this program I will learn to suture, take blood pressure, gain valuable insight from health care professionals, learn about the medical school application process, and gain two college credits.
The generous donations will be used to help my parents and I pay for the tuition required to participate in this medical program. Although this program is a dream come true for any adolecsent interested in the medical field, the tuition is quite expesive being $3,200.00. I'm trying to do a payment plan where I pay $500 by February 27th, and $915 on March 20th, April 20th, and lastly, May 20th.
My parents are hard workers that do the best they can to provide my brothers and I with what we ask for however, we can only afford to spend so much. Seeing that this program means the world to me, my parents are doing everything they can to raise money to allow me to attend this medical program, from asking all their friends and co-workers to donate, to taking out the money in their savings to try to pay for this. Unfortunately, we still need kindness of others to help pay seeing that my parents were only able to pay for the flight out to the University of California at Berkeley, San Francisco, where I will be living throughout this nine-day program. I cannot begin to explain how much it would mean to me if you all helped me achieve my goal. This is a step into my future, my dream of becoming a health care provider. I don't know how to begin to thank you all for supporting me and my goals. I'm at a loss for words just thinking about being able to fulfill my dream. I do everything I possibly can to aid me in accomplishing my goal and to try to gain a scholarship; this is will help me copiously. Truly, you donations helping me get one step closer to earning this privilege will mean the world to me, I cannot thank you enough. http://www.envisionexperience.com/explore-our-programs/national-youth-leadership-forum-medicine
