KA Star Stripes and Chow Fund
Tax deductible
The Washington College Kappa Alpha Fraternity is trying to raise $1,500 in support of The Baltimore Station. The Baltimore Station supports veterans and others who are transitioning through the cycle of poverty, addiction, and homelessness to self sufficiency.
The $1,500 is a donation that goes directly to The Baltimore Station and provides the KA team members the opportunity to compete in “Stars Stripes and Chow – Chili Edition” the annual chili cook off. Please help us reach our goal as quickly as possible!
In 2016, The Baltimore Station had a 94% occupancy rate and served over 350 men. 92% of the residents obtained or retained sustainable income by their discharge date, and 71% were discharged to permanent housing. After discharge, 74% of Baltimore Station clients continue to lead a life of recovery, as compared to the national average of 22%.
All the funds raised through Stars, Stripes & Chow...Chili Edition go directly to providing counseling, education programs, employment training and supports The Baltimore Station as they help men turn their lives around.
