UPDATE:   First of all we cannot begin to express how much everyones prayers and generousity have meant to our family. Thank you to everyone who has opened their hearts by praying, sharing, and donating. The answered prayers are what have brought us this far. God is truly working a miracle and has touched so many through this. Shannon has received her transplant surgeries. She went through 15 hrs of surgery spread over 3 days to give her rest through each stage. Her new kidney is doing good and they are monitoring the progress of the liver in hopes of being able to close all surgical incisions on Monday 1-26-15. After this she will  remain in ICU for three weeks while being monitored during the process of slowly removing the medications and breathing support. After her stay in the ICU is over she will go through physical therapy to relearn how to perform normal everyday activities. From there she will be required to stay in hospital approved housing in houston for up to three months so they can closely monitor her progress through extensive blood work and  doctor visits.  After receiving post-transplant care training her mother will have to stay with Shannon as her 24/7 caregiver so her husband can continue to work and support their family(her husband will also receive this same training). Her mom will also be trying to maintain her own household from a distance. Due to this her mother will be unable to work. During this time their will be expenses such as the approved housing, travel, food and medications, etc. Once they are completely satisfied with her new organs functions she will then be able to come home to her family. We have made this journey so far with lots of prayer and generous donations from friends and family and we ask that you continue to take time to send prayers and a donation if you are able to help Shannon and our family through the long journey ahead of us.    Thank you

Shannon is currently awaiting a liver and kidney transplant. She is in ICU on life support in Houston. She has two daughters and a loving husband. Her mother and family members are traveling back and forth daily to show their love and support. Some are sacrificing work/income to be with Shannon daily. We are asking family and friends to come together and make donations to help ease the financial burden and stress on these family members in this time of need. Please send prayers for Shannon and our family
