My name is Courtney McGowan. My wife and I Demetria McGowan are at a loss for words, honestly. We never would've imagined that a few days after our baby had a tonsils and adenoids removal surgery Monday she would be deceased 6 days later. We noticed Wednesday she started throwing up blood and was taken back to the hospital only to be evaluated for 24 hours and then released. Moments later, after being at home, she was unresponsive. Our daughter Kaci McGowan passed away today on June 23, 2024 while she was sleeping. We appreciate everyone that has been there for us at this time. We’re unfortunately making a GoFundMe to support her funeral expenses, we never expected to experience this at 5 years old. This is a tremendous tragedy for our family. Kaci leaves behind 3 siblings that will truly miss her. It saddens us that we must prepare for the worst days of our lives. #Foreverkaci
