Kacie road to Recovery

Hi, my name is Brandi and as most of you know my nieces were in a horrible car accident Sunday April 2nd. Thankfully my older niece only suffered minor injuries and is home recovering!

However my younger niece Kacie is in critical condition downtown at Memorial Hermann Childrens Hospital. On her right side, She has a broken tibia, broken femur and several breaks in her growth plate. She has a broken clavicle (collarbone). Her left thumb and wrist is broken.

Kacie also has a fracture in her C1 vertebrae and severe damages to her ligaments in her neck.

She has already had 1 major surgery on her right leg to try to repair the break in femur by putting a rod in place, they were unable to repair the Tibia at this time. They will attempt another surgery in 1 to 2 weeks.

She is currently receiving blood transfusions due to her losing blood, her team of physicians are working hard to find out why she is losing blood.

As of right now she is going to be in the hospital for 3 to 4 weeks, then no weight bearing for 3 months. This fundraiser will go towards Kacie’s Medical Bills, physical therapy, home repairs needed to make Kacie comfortable once she is able to come home.
