Kade is Incredible!
Kade has had “something” going on with him for quite some time (almost 5 years now). Over the last few years we have went back and fourth to Nashville for doctors appointments, blood tests, MRIs, and unsuccessful IVIG treatments. Kade is now under the care of the Undiagnosed Disease Network of Vanderbilt Pediatrics. We have yet to find answers for what's going on with Kade. We tried seeking a second opinion at Mayo but unfortunately, they will not take him due to insurance issues. So we continue to attend appointments, to test, and to rule things out in hopes that one day they will finally figure it out. He had completely lost his ability to walk in 2022 and we had to get him set up with a power chair, which came in 2023.
Well since we got it, I have been lifting Kade in and out of the car and using portable ramps to get it into the trunk.
In addition to setting this up, I also designed these really cool T-shirts as a way to raise awareness of undiagnosed/rare disease and raise money to buy a wheelchair accessible van so that I didn't have to struggle with it anymore. Kade is a big bear of a boy and it's getting harder and harder for me to lift him. Anything helps! Even if you don't buy a shirt or donate, if you could share it would be just as appreciated. ❤️
