Words do not exist to describe the sorrow we feel after the untimely passing of my “BIG” little brother, Senior Airman Kaden Russell Petersen.
There is no way to express our gratitude to Kaden for sharing his beautiful life so willingly with all of us. To know Kaden was to know pure joy, infectious laughter, forgiveness, understanding and unconditional love.
To loosely quote his favorite musical, Wicked:
“Because we knew him we have been changed for good.”
In lieu of flowers the family is taking donations to fund a large volunteer project or donation to happen at a future date in honor of Kaden and to a cause yet to be determined but most certainly having to do with helping children. We are actively working to choose a cause that was near and dear to Kaden’s heart. Donations will also help to offset the cost of services as we celebrate his wonderful life. If you are looking for a way to show support we would deeply appreciate your help in allowing us to determine a way to keep his memory alive by helping others.
If there is one thing we know it’s that Kaden loved unconditionally and he was grateful for each person whom touched and impacted his life.
From the bottom of our hearts Thank You for your support and for the love you gave to Kaden during his very full but short life.
A Celebration of Life for Kaden will be held on Saturday, July 27th. The celebration will be held at 456 E. San Carlos Way Chandler, AZ 85249 from 4:00-9:00 PM to minimize as much as possible the impacts of the heat. The location will have indoor space but please feel free to dress comfortably according to the weather.
