Kahryn's Journey to Breast Reduction!

Hi everyone!! I am Kahryn's mother. We have been on this journey to obtain a breast reduction for her for almost 2.5 years. It started when she was heading to the 12 and sized out of Victoria's secret(as well as others stores) bc her breast had grown to a 34H. Now, she wears a 36P. Kahryn is 14 and as we all know these teen years are already difficult enough without such huge obvious additions. Due to her breast size Kahryn is very self conscious and shy. She has anxiety bc she is always worrying about what people will say or how they will look at her. Life hasn't been rainbows and sunshine for her outside of this, she suffered with hearing issues in her younger years and she has some special needs. Despite it all, she is the most kind and caring kid I know. She is like a 2nd mom to her other siblings(3). All the while in constant pain due to the weight of her breast. Her weight isnt an issue, one breast weighs 25lbs while the other weighs close to 22lbs. Weight loss isnt something you can focus just on breast size, if so, we wouldnt be in this predicament. Her shoulders hurt, her back hurts, she is easily winded. She is unable to participate in all sports or even play at the park. She has anxiety attacks and chest pain due to her constant worry of being a spectacle. She isn't able to wear clothes that girls her age wear or a normal bathing suit without a bra. We have exhausted all available options with the 4 providers that are in network with her insurance. We finally found a provider that would do the operation but backed out as her plates in her hand hadn't fused completely(indicating adulthood). They said they would xray them again next summer and will do the reduction at that time. While I want to take all precautions and be as safe as possible Kahryn's quality of life is suffering right now, everyday. She is sad, borderline depressed and in constant pain daily and severe pain far more than anyone should be. We understand she may need another reduction in the future and we're ok with that. We are now raising funds to pay for the surgery out of pocket as that allows access to far more plastic surgeons than those that are in the network of her insurance. Anything helps and will surely be appreciated.
