Kairos 'Team Unity' Brighton Marathon 06.04.2025
Just under a year ago, the Kairos ‘Ultra Athletes’ took on the Brighton 10k, and together, we accomplished something truly amazing. Not only did we raise an incredible amount of money for Kairos, but we also experienced an unforgettable day filled with camaraderie, inspiration, and unwavering support. It was a day that reminded us of the power of coming together for a shared purpose.
This year, we’re aiming even higher as we gear up to tackle the Brighton Marathon! Reflecting on last year, I was deeply moved by the outpouring of encouragement we received - it was a beautiful reflection of what Kairos stands for at its core. Across our abstinence-based support hostel at Linden Grove, move on houses, the Garden Day Program, the rehab at Bethwin Road and our counsellors at Kairos Counselling, support is the heartbeat of everything we do. It’s what enables people to leave behind lives once defined by addiction and embrace entirely new beginnings. Lives that radiate hope, impact loved ones, and inspire others to believe that change is possible.
Support changes everything. And just like the support we offer within Kairos, this marathon effort relies on the encouragement of our incredible team and those who choose to stand alongside us. Tackling 26 miles is no small feat - it’s a challenge that demands strength, determination, and, most importantly, the collective power of belief. Every cheer, every donation, every gesture of interest becomes part of that support system, carrying us one step closer to crossing the finish line.
Together, we can create more stories of transformation, more ripples of hope, and more reasons to celebrate the beauty of starting something new.
Myself and Matthew will be posting updates throughout our training journey, so come back and see how we’re doing. Your support, in whatever form, is welcome and loved.
P.S. If anyone is interested in joining us, we have 2 spaces left! With only 10 weeks to go a good base level of fitness is required. Please contact me and remember…Anything is possible!
