Kaiser Permanente School of Allied Health Tuition
Donation protected
On January 17th, 2020 I received the call that I was accepted into the school of my dreams. Every single step I have taken over the last 5 years of my life has earned me a seat at Kaiser Permanente School of Allied Health Sciences Echocardiography program. It is highly competitive, as only 10 students were chosen out of 300 applicants. I am so incredibly proud and thankful to be where I am today! Those of you that know me well, know how hard I've worked to get here. I graduated from Solano Community College with a 4.0 GPA, and was invited to join Phi Theta Kappa honors society while being a single mom of two wonderful children (Ariel 15, and Kole 13, who have encouraged me throughout my academic journey), owning my own home, taking care of my dad, volunteering at the hospital, job shadowing at several different clinics and hospitals, working full time at Chili's in Vacaville, and hosting study groups at my home for struggling students every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings. I recently found out that my school is not title 4, which means I cannot apply for student loans or any other government funded financial aid programs. I burst into tears in fear that I would have to give up my seat, and my hopes and dreams of completing my goal. Those of you that know me well, know that I am the last person to ask for any sort of financial help, but a dear friend of mine asked me to set this up in hopes that it might help. Here you find me in my most vulnerable, exposed, humble, yet grateful position. My tuition is $31,000. The school allows us to apply for a personal loan up to $18,000 and I have saved $6,000 on my own. This leaves me $7,000 short of the cost of my tuition. I cannot express how much it means to me to have all of the support, prayers, love, and encouragement you all have given me already, so please don't feel obligated to give anything unless it is within your means. There is no amount to small to donate and I appreciate each and every one of you for even taking the time to read this. From the bottom of my heart THANK YOU!! I will be keeping everyone updated on my progress and if you prefer to contact me directly my cell phone number is
