Kaitlen’s Journey to her authentic self

Our daughter is scheduled to have life changing, gender affirming surgery next month and we have just found out that her insurance coverage will not cover the portion of the costs we had expected them to.

We are grateful for the folks who have contributed along the way, as she began and continued this journey, and we have all pitched in the limits of our ability.

Kaitlen’s commitment to this surgery has been consistent and profound. We are so impressed with her work ethic and ability to save money. She has worked 40 to 50+ hours a week, saving almost everything she has made, in support of this procedure and in preparation for her recovery. She intentionally saved over $15,000 to pay for her living expenses and medical care for the 4 to 6 months until she can return to work.

However, all of that must now go toward the insurance shortfall. We are using this Go Fund Me to close the remaining gap in medical expenses and to provide Kaitlen with living expenses while she recovers.
