Kaitlin Skinner Healy

Hey, we’re Katie & Kay from All Mankind Grooming Studio for Men. We’re starting this for our friend and business owner, Kaitlin. I’m sure all of you already know her as your local barber and mom of the year but some of you might not know the full extent of her one-woman-show. Kaitlin is a one income single mom of three kids under 7 years old. She has a great support system from her family, in-laws and friends but she needs our help! Her youngest child, Rhett has suffered from lifelong ear infections and after years of seeing multiple doctors (7 in total), she finally found a doctor who listened to her concerns and acted quickly. So quickly in fact, they left the football field on a Saturday and walked right into Women’s & Children’s with a room waiting on them. Rhett, as of today, has spent 4 days admitted in the hospital with a long journey ahead of him. As you guys can imagine, nobody expects to find themselves in the precarious situation she has found herself in. After being admitted to the hospital, Kaitlin was informed that her insurance that she was told she had on her children was actually invalid. The insurance company sent her new cards and covered medication just last week. She only found out about the miscommunication after her son was already in the middle of CT scans and a multitude of different procedures. Obviously we all want what is best for Rhett Joseph so that’s where our little community can hopefully come in. As you can imagine, with a lapse in insurance coverage, this is going to be a devastating blow financially. Kaitlin is a self employed business owner who will be missing a lot of time to be with her son. Please consider donating to this precious family so that Kaitlin can focus on getting her baby well and not dwell so much on how she’s going to afford his care.
