Kaitlyn was headed to tennis practice on her bicycle when she was struck by a car last week. She sustained major injuries, specifically her leg, and was airlifted to Lucile Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford. She has undergone treatments and surgeries toward her recovery, with doctors estimating that she will undergo several more surgeries over the next several weeks.
Kaitlyn's parents, Sarah and Jared, are there with her while Sarah's mom Peggy is home caring for Carly and Brady. No one is ever prepared for this type of emergency to strike and this family will need our help. Sarah and Jared will have to find temporary housing near the hospital, the family will be traveling to and from the hospital, and will incur steep medical bills.
