COVID Relief - Supply Essentials to Rural India

The second wave of COVID has spread beyond cities and towns and reached rural India. It has completely devastated the hinterlands of India disproportionately. It is extremely difficult for rural India to have the same level of health and human support as cities. Having grass-roots level activities is the only way to make a positive difference. Currently with COVID and lack of daily opportunities for adults to work and for students unable to go to school (where they could have been provided daily meals) families are struggling for basic needs, health and hygiene.
Kalanidhi Dance is partnering with an organization focused on uplifting rural humanity - Aarti for Girls - to give COVID relief support at grass roots level. This support is for abandoned / abused / needy girls and their families to provide critical necessities in rural India for June and July. These funds will be utilized in procuring critical essentials for rural families and a team of dedicated social workers will work round the clock to make sure the families they are responsible for are taken care of at grass roots level.
OUR GOAL: Is to supply essentials to 10,000 families impacted by COVID in Rural India for the months of June and July. Any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to us.

Aarti (under the legal entity Vijay Foundation Trust) is an NGO based in Kadapa in southern state of Andhra Pradesh, and operates in a region steeped in poverty and locked in practices that are inherently discriminatory towards women and girls.
ABOUT AARTI FOR GIRLS
Three decades ago, Aarti for Girls began as a shelter known as Aarti Home for abandoned children. With over 1,000 children passing through its doors, Aarti Home has become a haven for children who have suffered abuse, trafficking, and abandonment. At its core, Aarti fosters and supports abandoned girls in Kadapa by providing them with a home and opportunity. Simultaneously, we work to educate and empower women in the larger community through training and advocacy programs.
