Kaleab Yehenew Funeral Fund

Our beloved Kaleab recently passed on September 4th, 2022. Kaleab was a wonderful brother, son, uncle and friend who touched the lives of those around him. He leaves behind his sister, father, niece, and nephew.

Kaleab was riding his bike on September 1st in Ft Washington, MD when he was tragically struck by a vehicle traveling at high speeds. Kaleab was rushed to the University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center in Largo, MD where he was placed on life support. After an unsuccessful emergency brain surgery, Kaleab was later pronounced dead on September 4, 2022.

Kaleab dedicated his life to his family and friends, but nothing came before his niece and nephew whom he loved dearly. Growing up in the Debre Genet MedhaneAlem Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahido Church in Temple Hills, Kaleab touched the lives of many from all different demographics and always spread the word of God at every opportunity he had. Kaleab will be missed by many friends whom he made along the way at Oxon Hill High School and Morgan State University.

We are all devastated by Kaleab’s loss and were not prepared for the high cost of a funeral service. We want to give Kaleab the proper memorial he deserves, honor his memory, and say our last goodbyes.

We are currently asking for donations to help cover the cost of Kaleab's funeral. We need to raise $20,000 by 09/16/2022 in order to be able to afford the funeral service. Please consider donating, as any amount will truly help our family during this difficult time.
