Kaleena's Unexpected Medical Emergency

My name is Gennifer and Kaleena, one of my best friends for almost 30 years, has been experiencing a series of severe health issues. Due to a previous case of COVID-19, Kaleena has been struggling with her lung function. In March, doctors thought she might have had pneumonia; however, after numerous visits, a more long-standing issue was found. Since then, Kaleena has been out of work trying to recover and going back and forth to different doctors to try and find answers.

On November 27th Kaleena had to be hospitalized due to extremely low oxygen levels. While in the hospital, she discovered that the road to recovery would be longer than expected as the doctors believed the previous case of COVID triggered an auto-immune disease that is causing damage to her lungs.

Kaleena was able to go home on December 5th but will continue to need outside care from home healthcare and additional monitoring to ensure her lung function is improving. But due to the severity of her lung damage, Kaleena will be out of work for the foreseeable future.

As you know, the ripples of unexpected medical emergencies and expenses can bombard every part of your life. Kaleena is a wife, a mother of three beautiful girls and Nana to two wonderful grandbabies. Kaleena is such an essential part of her family. She is kind and genuine and gives so much of herself to anyone in need. I am here asking for your help, with the hope that my wonderful friend and her family will have a few less stresses during this time of sickness.
