Kaleighana’s Medical Battle

We all know this is a difficult time, but I know my friends and families will come together for a beautiful young women.
Most of you know Kaleighana Black aka KK. This beautiful soul has been on a roller coaster. Her and her boyfriends life changed on 4/28 losing their baby.

On 4/30 After a follow up with doctor for the DNC the doctor told her she needed to come in for further testing. After all the testing was done KK was diagnosed with Choriocarcinoma (Gestational Trophoblastic Disease) ( Cancer) on 5/30

6/1 was her first chemo treatment (Methotrexate)
Then on 7/13 she started EMACO due to the failed methotrexate the cells were continuing to spread.
Due to the side effects from chemo and also her immune system she’s unable to work at this time. She’s unable to be on her feet for a long period of time. Doctors also said to stay home during COVID.

She’s currently going thru the EMACO regimen of Chemo after 6 weeks of failed Methotrexate IV injection. The regimen shes on now is a 14 day alternating cycle, so one week she receives chemo Monday and Tuesday then the following week she receives it on just Monday’s and Weekly my levels are measured.

She’s a full time student, she’s been with Publix for 3 years since 2017.
She currently going through treatment and some days are better then others. Am reaching out to get as much support as possible before she losses everything, she’s having trouble keeping up with bills/ medical. She’s currently behind.
