My name is Michael, and my Fiancé, Kaley, and I live on a small beautiful island called Sanibel. As many of you know, Sanibel, Fort Myers, and many surrounding islands have just been devastated by Hurricane Ian. No one knew this hurricane's impact; without much warning, we were forced to evacuate with little belongings. We were confident we would be home by now, ready to move on with life. Sanibel has been completely cut off from the mainland, and we cannot return home. Unable to see the damages to our home and salvage anything that may be left. Unable to receive the closure we need and begin to rebuild. We left all of our clothes, personal items, pictures, and wedding items we have been saving for our wedding in April of next year. My Fiancé is a 3rd-grade Teacher, and all of her school clothes, supplies, and necessities to provide for her students are gone. We are only left to assume that everything has been destroyed and unsure when it will be safe to return to the island. We understand that everyone has been impacted in some way by this Hurricane, but we are asking that if you can donate, we would be grateful for any donation. Thank you so much
