Hi everyone, I'm Kalyn's Mama and hoping to get support from our amazing village of friends and family!
Kalyn's world changed on March 4, 2021
when she woke up excited to start her new job at UPS after being unemployed this last year due to covid. Covid made her realize she needed a career change as she has worked in the restaurant industry for the past 11 years. While showering she felt a lump in her underarm and text me if she could swing by to look at this lump. I chalked it up to hormones and her body fighting a cold. The next day she woke up with a lime size lump in her chest. We decided she needed to go to the clinic to get checked, they referred her to a specialist who couldn't see her until end of March. Well, mamabear wasn't having that, so I took her to the ER for an ultrasound which led to a CT scan and blood test. She received the shocking news that they found signs of Lymphoma and she needed to be transferred to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. After several tests, biopsy, and scans it was confirmed a week later that she was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma Stage 3 in her Chest and Abdomen on March 12th.
She has an amazing attitude and is ready to fight for her life. Being only 27 years young she has alot of life to live, milestones to conquer, and priceless memories to experience. She's confident she will beat this and will be proud to say she's a Survivor!
Kalyn starts ABVD chemo on Thursday, March 25th every 2 weeks for 6 months. She's already said she gonna kick this C's a** in 3, that gives you an idea of her will to live and thrive for life!
She didn't have health insurance or any other benefits so we are asking for your help! Her Dad Dan, Brothers Kole and Keenan, myself and her family would appreciate any support you can give. We know the world has been on a rollercoaster during Covid and every little bit helps. Her medical bills, prescriptions and cost of living has already starting to build. We appreciate any help given, you can also help by sharing this with others on social media which has been a great resource for sharing her story!
