Deaf Runner Fundraiser

Hi, my name is Patrick, and I’m profoundly deaf. This year, I’ve decided to take on some incredible challenges to support two causes close to my heart: the Irish Cancer Society and Chime: The National Charity for Deafness and Hearing Loss.

Here’s what I’ll be tackling in 2025:

1️⃣ Running 10km every single day in January (31 days in a row!)

2️⃣ Completing 12 half marathons — one each month from February to December, with an extra one in any month after January.

3️⃣ Running two full marathons:

• The Dingle Marathon in September

• The Dublin Marathon in October

4️⃣ Growing a moustache and mullet for the entire year and then shaving it all off at the end of December!

Why These Charities?

The Irish Cancer Society provides vital support and funds research for prostate cancer, helping men across Ireland in their fight against this disease.

Chime empowers people like me who are deaf or hard of hearing, offering resources, advocacy, and community support to improve our quality of life.

Every single euro raised will go directly to these incredible causes.
