Kamaryn's Science Technology Trip
Kamaryn's Science and Technology Trip
Our daughter Kamaryn Sablan was recently selected by the National Academy for Future Scientists and Technologists as a delegate representing South County High School and the Commonwealth of Virginia to the Congress of Future Science and Technology leaders to be held in Boston, Massachusetts on June 29th-July 1st 2017.
This is such a great honor for her as it is a highly selective National Program honoring academically superior high school students who are dedicated to a career in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
Kamaryn was selected based on her academic record, leadership potential and her desire to contribute to the field of Science and Technology.
As a Pacific Islander of Northern Marianas Decent, this is particularly important to her, as these fields are among which minorities are underrepresented.
At Congress, Kamaryn will meet with some of the greatest minds in Science and Technology, to discuss and observe state-of the-art inventions and be inspired by world changing researchers, futurists and technologists. At the close of Congress, she will be presented with the inscribed National Academy of Future Science and Technologist Award of excellence, which will open many doors for her future endeavors.
Kamaryn's acceptance of selection, must be postmarked no later than April 21, 2017. In order for her to attend, she will need to pay for her tuition, travel ,transportation, lodging and meals all at her own expense.
With your help, we her parents, friends and family can help her attend Congress and make this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity a reality.
On behalf of Kamaryn and our family, we greatly appreciate any amount you can contribute to help her reach her goal.
Thank you for your time and generosity
Martha and Eric Sablan
