Kam's Summer Medical Research Program at Stanford
Donation protected
Hey Family & Friends,
My name is Kameron Woodard-El and this summer as a progression of my medical school journey, I have been blessed with the opportunity to be chosen as a participant in the Stanford Cardiovascular Institute Summer Research Program. By participating in this program I will be able to add invaluable research experience to my growing medical knowledge in my goal to aid my community through relevant medical care.
According to the National Institute of Health, as of 2019, African-Americans remain at the highest risk and incidence of cardiovascular disease of all other demographics in this nation. This research will allow me, a member of this community, to better understand the factors contributing to this astonishing statistic. With that understanding, I will be further equipped to better serve our community through the healthcare system we all depend on.
My biggest personal and professional goal is to be an asset to my fellow man and the community that produced me. Your help in fundraising for my room and board to be able to attend this program will help ensure not only my future, but those I aim to serve in the days to come as Dr. Woodard-El.
