Kamoni Dotson Football National Showcase
Donation protected
My name is Kamoni Dotson and I am a freshman on the Hernando High School Leopards Football Team. I have been selected to attend the Junior Day Football National Showcase as the Wide Receiver from Florida due to my performance at the College Coaches Showcase Camp at Lake Mary, FL this past March 24th, 2024. The Junior Day Football National Showcase is a 3 day event from July 26-28, 2024 at the Minnesota Vikings’ US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, MN.
There are college head coaches, coordinators, and top assistants from 16 Division I, II, and III schools who make the decisions to evaluate all football players in attendance. I will be evaluated in measurable skills like the 40-yard dash (currently 4.57), broad jump, and other metrics. We will play a round-robin tournament in a 7v7 format with college coaches on the sidelines coaching, instructing, and evaluating. These type of camps and events, along with my performance on the field, determine the star ratings (3●, 4●, 5●) that are used by colleges when offering scholarships. By the way, my current GPA is 3.8.
I want to improve my receiving skills so I have 1,000+ receiving yards at the end of my sophomore year. I will strive to be the number one receiver in the nation by the end of my senior year. I have plans to attend a D1 college and become the next receiver to win the Heisman award. This will propel me into the NFL. This along with a degree in business and finance will allow me to retire my mom so my family will not have to worry about anything. This is a great honor for me, my family, HHS, Brooksville, and my community.
The entry fee for wide receivers for this event: $1,500 - $350 (Prospect Credit)= $1,150
Airfare for my mom and myself: $492
Hotel for 4 nights: $654
Food for 2 for 5 days: $500
Total: $2,796
This is an amount beyond our family’s ability to afford. I am asking for donations so I may attend the Junior Day Football National Showcase, pursue my dream, and help my family. Thank you very much for taking your time to hear my story and for your cherished donation. Have a Blessed Day, Kamoni
