Kanabec County Veteran's Memorial Building

The Kanabec County Veterans Memorial is raising funds for a building which will provide a static display of Veteran memorabilia and a meeting space for local organizations. We look forward to sharing the stories of our local heroes. The building will be the permanent home of the statue "Silent Battle". This statue represents the invisible wounds of war which will shine a light on the inner struggles of those with PTSD.

The outdoor display will highlight a memorial of Kanabec County veterans KIA/MIA. Veterans of all time periods and service branches are encouraged to purchase "bricks" in honor of their service. Names will be engraved into granite walls and placed in the outdoor flag plaza.

In 2024 a Huey helicopter, which is currently being reconditioned, will be installed.
