Kane, Craig & Dan's Three Peaks Fundraiser.

Hi Everyone,

As some of you may already be aware, Myself (Kane Greedy) Craig and Daniel Mullins have chosen to set ourselves the task of taking on the formidable National Three Peaks Challenge in the hope to raise money for the Mind Mental health charity.

The challenge taking place on the 16th of June this year will consist of us having to climb the three highest peaks in England (Scafell Pike), Wales (Mount Snowdon), and Scotland (Ben Nevis) back to back within the target time of 24hrs.

A total of 23 miles and an accent of 3064m (10,053ft) through morning and night, a challenge that has indeed motivated us to start taking life a little more seriously.

Signing up in October admittedly not being the fittest group of lads, (Please reserve your comments) I'm proud to say on behalf of us all, training has begun almost immediately with a trial run of Snowdon taking place in mid-march to give ourselves an insight of what we are in for, yes we are taking this quite seriously.

All proceeds from this page will be passed onto Mind Mental Health charity 6 weeks prior the start date in order for us to take part. Any donations taken after then will passed on at completion.

Everything else such as, hiking gear, boots, bags, clothes etc, along with booking fees and travel to and from the starting and end points are taken on by ourselves, so we are also invested.

Any support will be truly overwhelming and much appreciated.

As we was approaching the summit, the weather got quite severe, high winds, heavy snow and minus 12 degrees, which unfortunately forced us to make a U turn about 15mins from the top.

However we considered it a successful run, considering the conditions up against us.
