Last-Minute Opportunity to Compete in Gaucho Derby

My friend’s name is Kansas Carradine. She is, among other things, a world-class performance horsewoman, Equestrian Entertainer, Lasso Artist and trick rider - also a leader in heart-based equine-therapy, and a homeschooling mother of two.

She has been unexpectedly offered a last minute spot to compete in what is considered the most difficult horse race in the world - The Gaucho Derby - a 500km solo race across the Patagonia wilderness which will take place in February 2024. Somebody dropped out at the 11th hour and the organizers approached Kansas to see if she would like to step in. Despite the very last-minute nature of this she is committed to try to take up this invitation - seeing it as a once-in-a lifetime opportunity to highlight the importance of conservation and the role of heart-based humane horsemanship in protecting wild places. As such, she is now working extremely hard to find sponsors who could make it possible for her to join the race in just under 2 months time.

Funds raised here do not cover travel expenses, training races, travel insurance, and necessary equipment for racing (GPS, camping equipment, camping food, survival gear, etc).

These additional expenses are expected to be over 15,000 USD
