Kappa Sigma House Capital Improvement Plan

Not many certainties in life boys, but you know some of them:
1. Death
2. Taxes
3. Take care of home.
For all of us Kappa Sigmas, 525 North Walnut is home. For some, it actually is home. But for all of us, it’s at least a home away from home, a place for fun, family, and fellowship.
We took care of a really big objective a couple years back when we paid off the mortgage on the big house, but now the real work begins. We need to make sure it lasts at least as long as the first one did.
Our recently elected Alumni Association president, Dean Boyd, has formulated a plan to ensure that this happens.
1. Repairs and modifications - Repair and upgrade from the top down: roof, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, drainage, and foundation. Several of these items have reached the end of their lifespans and need immediate replacement. As we proceed, many of these will be replaced with more commercial-grade products.
2. Aesthetic and cosmetic upgrades - paving, paint, drywall, cabinets, doors, etc.
3. Maintenance programs - Alumni Association and Undergraduate Chapter will coordinate to make sure systems and fixtures are receiving regular checks and repairs.
4. Long Range Planning - Possible additions, expansions, renovations, etc.
Past AA Presidents Scott Bitterman, Eric Johnson, and David Richardson are helping to coordinate this effort. Additionally, former officers Matt Campagni, Dan Johnson, Marty Bradley, Robert Evans, Will Harris, Cody Richardson, and others are assisting with the planning. We have a game plan for getting this accomplished. If you would like details, let us know and we will send you the full report.
What do we need from you? Obviously, your financial support. But, more than that, your prayers, best wishes, advice, and physical help. Please let us know if you can help out in anyway, contractors, material suppliers, anything that can be of assistance.
Oh, yeah, a goal. I think an organization as “mature” as we are should be able to throw in $100,000 to get this started. Please lend a hand and make sure you “Take Care of Home.”
