Kara pay medical bills and care for her son

I'm raising funds for my very good friend Kara Henchell known by many of us as Hippie. A few of Kara's friends wanted to have a way to help her pay for medical bills and for care for her son while she receives cancer treatments so I started journey to get Go Fund Me set up.

I can't improve upon the biography and description of situation than her partner wrote and sent me so I just cut and pasted it below.

Of course all help is greatly appreciated.

Kara is someone who gives from the heart, without ever counting the cost, or expecting a thing in return. She has been an incredible advocate and single mom to her adult son, who has quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy.

She has given generously of her time, her energy, her love and her passion to everyone and everything that needed it. You know that person in your neighbourhood who is always ready to help someone move furniture, or walk a dog, or give a teenager a ride to work, or volunteer for a school event? That’s who she is.

In January 2024 Kara was diagnosed, unexpectedly, with Stage 4 lung cancer, and has met a set of brand new challenges, including emergency surgery and chemotherapy.

Whilst no amount of money will EVER be enough to repay her for the good she’s brought to the world, it will at least help her to offset her medical expenses and access complementary therapies like acupuncture, which will allow her to enjoy as many good days as possible. It will also help her get the extra caregiving needed for her son while she is receiving treatments or/and is unable to care for him. Peace of mind means so much.
