Support Karate & Fitness USA

Karate & Fitness USA is raising money due to the State of California Mandated closure of martial arts fitness studios during the Covid-19 Crisis. We humbly request your support of this small Lamorinda business.
Karate & Fitness USA was established in Moraga, CA in 1983. For more than 35 years I have dedicated my life to teaching karate to the people of the Lamorinda area. Our dojo is a close community of children, young adults, and parents who trust me with teaching what I know and love - the art of karate. After several years teaching out of my parents’ garage, I decided to open my first dojo and never looked back. Since the beginning of Karate & Fitness USA many students have gone on to become National and World Champions. Today Karate & Fitness USA students are still recognized as top competitors in the sport of Karate. A core of traditional values forms the basis of our karate teachings, including respect, self-discipline, dedication, humility and a strong work ethic.
Giving Back to the Community: For over 20 years I have donated my time to the local schools, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and National Charity Leagues by offering free Self-Defense / Anti-Bullying Training Programs to teach valuable skills that instill confidence in our youth.
Our mission: Karate & Fitness USA enjoys “Strengthening America’s Families.” It is a dojo where the entire family can train together and be a part of a much larger community of Karate-do. Everyone can become a winner at our dojo, as the award-winning programs instill the best in everyone. Our goal is to help every student build self-confidence and improve every aspect of their life.
Unfortunately, the business has taken much loss in revenue due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. The laws restricting teaching indoor exercise classes have made it impossible to continue operating as I once did. I understand the need to protect the health and safety of our community, and have been teaching karate through virtual classes. However, the feedback that Zoom is not the same as in class learning and the resulting decreased demand for karate instruction, has made it increasingly difficult to continue operations.
The funds we seek through GoFundMe, of $50,000, will be used to maintain and re-grow the business back to success again. Any amount is greatly appreciated.
I love what I do, and hope to share my enthusiasm for Karate with the community for many years to come. Thank you for your consideration and any assistance you can provide.
Sincerely
Sensei Tom
