Kareem Korey Hawthorne Family- COVID 19 Death

For the Memorial Services and Family Support and Expenses

As of 5/5/20 at 2:00pm per COVID19.Colorado.gov, there have been over 14,316 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Colorado alone and 851 deaths, this pandemic is effecting the lives of thousands across our state. 

The Hawthorne family is much more than a statistic as this COVID19 virus has in one swoop taken a husband, father, brother and son from his family in less than two weeks. You may or may not know Kareem "Korey" Hawthorne and family, however, we recently lost him due to complications of COVID-19. This fund has been created for his children's support and family funeral expenses. He died at home with his children after being turned away from the hospital due to lack of ventilators and beds. His loss is a major devastation to his family. We could never have fathomed or predicted this virus would cause this type of destruction. We ask for your help as now his wife Asha and children are alone dealing with mental anguish, grief, stress and trauma from his sudden death. We are not alone in our loss as there are now over 850 people in Colorado facing this pain and our hearts go out to them and their families as well.
Who was Korey you may ask? Korey was a father, brother, son, nephew, uncle, cousin and friend. He was an extremely hard worker and father of three beautiful children. In fact, some of his last texts to his sister while he was sick was that he was, "concerned that he needed to get back to work to provide for his family." Over the years, Korey had an undying love for his Children, Wife, Mother, Sisters and Brothers.  Korey loved his children and remained working during the outbreak announcement as he was the main source of income for his family. He loved his children beyond life and will be greatly missed.
