Karen was one of a kind. She was a friend to all and family to most. We lost a beautiful person and a beautiful smile with a little bit of sarcasm. She was a fighter. Please help put her in the resting place she wanted and deserved. Please help support the family of Karen Burns with funeral costs after her unexpected passing on December 3, 2019. Although diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer in February 2019, she progressed through treatment with what doctors thought were flying colors. To everyone's shock, doctors discovered on October 31, 2019 that the cancer had spread to her brain, liver, and bones. She underwent two weeks of radiation for her brain. She was getting ready to start chemo for the remaining areas when on Monday, November 25, 2019 she entered the hospital with severe abdominal pain. Unfortunately, she never made it home as the cancer had already progressed too much..
