"Karen Burr (Oleske) was taken from us on Monday, May 1st, 2023. Karen was the love of my life, and our family will always have a missing component moving forward. Karen is survived by her 4 daughters Lily, Kali, Kristian, Eva, and myself Jason Burr. She is also survived by her mom Susan, sister Kim, sister Steff, stepfather Mike, and several friends she had collected over her 37 years on this earth. Karen and I began our adventure together 4 years ago in the summer of 2019. Karen loved her baby girls, and me (I guess, not sure why?). She also had an immense love for cows! Any time she would pass them on the road she would call them her babies. 90% of Karen’s personal belongings had some sort of cow theme to them and she would take great offense if you spoke poorly of her precious bovine! Karen also loved to take care of her family and make sure they had everything they needed or wanted to be comfortable and happy. Karen loved to watch “House Wives” with Kristian, “Watchers” with Kali, and “Fire Country” with all of us. Although Karen loved relaxing and enjoying shows with her family, she was not a fan of movie watching, though. Karen would religiously say, “We've seen that movie a million times, let's find something different”, even if she knew that wasn’t the truth. Lily, recalls loving road tripping with Karen. She had such a great taste in music (HAHA!!), and just made it an entertaining trip each time. She loved to listen to “Jelly Roll”, Ryan Upchurch, and Morgan Wallen. Kali, loved to tell Karen about her day whether it was exciting or just a run of the mill kind of day. Kali enjoyed shopping with Karen as well. I would also like to tell you all how much Karen loved hearing me talk about hunting! Karen was good with it for probably, the first week of our relationship? Then after that she would just tune me out and act like she was listening. But she was always willing to listen because she knew it was my passion. Karen is proceeded in death by her papa Dave, and her father Edward Oleske." (Statement provided by Jason Burr)
