Help our mom fight Lung Cancer

Our mother Karen is facing the most challenging battle of her life. Diagnosed with borderline Stage 4 Lung Cancer on November 17th, 2023, her world has rapidly transformed. What started as trouble breathing and unusual swelling in her cheeks and neck escalated into a dire medical situation. Despite recently moving to Texas to start anew and just finding her footing, she's now thrust into medical emergencies and treatments.

In just a few weeks, her life has changed dramatically, involving multiple emergency admissions and plans for immediate chemotherapy and radiation. On November 28th, crucial treatment was postponed due to insurance complications, now she is forced to move back to California to commence chemotherapy.

The Doctors have emphasized the rapid spread of her cancer and the critical need to begin treatment immediately. Admist this, she endures excruicating pain and struggles with breathing, yet her spirits remain unbroken. With that being said, many of you who know my mom know that she is strong-willed, focused and driven. This process will not be easy and it will take a lot of fight, but we have faith in God that she will beat this, but also faith in her stubbornness to fight it.

This sudden and overwhelming situation has led us to seek support from our community, friends, and family. We are setting up this GoFundMe to cover her medical expenses, travel for treatment, and to support her during this challenging time. No contribution is too small; every bit of support brings us closer to her recovery.
