Karen Hudson's medical expenses and aftercare.

Hi my name is Josh Hudson and I'm raising money for my Mother, Karen Hudson, to help cover her medical expenses and after care. Karen is 67 years old and lives in western NC. She is a 35 year veteran of textile mill work and until a few years ago, a very vibrant and active person in her church and community. She was the first person to help when someone asked for it or she saw the need.

Mom had a heart attack in 2018. A stint was installed in her blocked artery. In 2019 her heart doctors discovered that she had a very invasive abdominal/aortic aneurysm between her sternum and stomach that was almost large enough to require emergency surgery but due to the physical trauma of the recent heart attack they decided to wait and monitor it.

In 2020 Karen had Covid and it took a toll on her lungs and heart. After Covid her physical condition got much worse. Over the next year or more she battled neuropathy in her feet and legs, afib, shortness of breath, blood clots, fatigue, dizziness, etc...

In November of 2022 she was rushed to the hospital and had emergency surgery to remove the aneurysm. It was very tough on her and she was at the point of death several times in a two week span after the surgery. Shes's been in and out of hospitals, urgent care, cardiac docs, physical therapy etc.. since then.

In Fall of 2023 she suffered a stroke on the right side of her brain that has affected her every day life and mobility. Karen is still currently recovering from the stroke and still battling heart issues, lung weakness, neuropathy, afib and many more terrible medical issues.

As most of you know, Life is more expensive right now than it's ever been and she needs financial help that I cannot provide for her. I do all I can to pay my family's bills and still help her out with pocket money if I have it. She is struggling just to buy all her meds each month (alot of them are non generic high priced specialty meds for her conditions) and I'm calling on the help of friends and the kindness of strangers because she needs a lot of extra after care services that she cannot pay for and my family cannot afford. Anything you choose to donate will go directly to my Mother for her ongoing medical issues and past bills. She is a sweet Christian lady that just needs some extra help (as we all do from time to time) and she is too proud to ask for it. So I will! God bless you all and thanks for reading this.
