Karen Jenkins' Funeral & Burial

On May 27, 2023, Karen Jenkins passed away unexpectantly at the age of 69 in Long Beach, CA. She was cremated on June 9th at Green Hills Mortuary in Rancho Palos Verdes. She is survived by her cousin Darci, her niece Lori, her nephew Lyle, her fiance Chris, her son James, and her grandson Christian.

Though she had lived in California for the last 49 years, her heart and home has always been Centralia, Illinois.

She had only returned from Centralia a few days prior, having flown back for the funeral of her sister, Cheryl, who had passed away only 10 days prior to Karen's passing. We have taken some solace in that she had the opportunity to fly back with her grandson for the first time and see many of her friends and family for the first time in years.

These rapid and unforeseen tragedies in rapid succession have given her surviving family members little time and resources in which to plan her services and internment.

Any, and all, of the funds donated would be used for her cremation, to fly her remains home to be interred near her parents and sister at Hillcrest Cemetery in Centralia, Ill. If any funds remain, they will be used for her grandson's educational future.
