Karen Kilgore medical care

Hello my name is Dorena and I am trying to raise money for my older sister Karen who has been in and out of the hospital for the last 3 months. Back in February of this year Karen was in a lot of pain and at 77 years old she walked herself into the hospital with only the help of her walker. At this time she was coherent and talking clearly to myself and her husband Clint. During that visit she was diagnosed with a fractured hip, pelvis, tailbone and severe UTI and it was decided she would need 24 hour care. Unfortunately her husband Clint is also 77 years old with health issues himself and is unable to provide the care she needs and they can not afford to pay for someone to come in and care for her 24 hours a day on their own. Due to this we looked into the option of a nursing home but her insurance will not pay anymore for this service. Just proving how much of a joke insurance for the elderly can be. With this information we approached the doctors again to try and come up with other options. As of right now we are hoping to raise enough money to be able to provide Karen with care for 10 hours a day (from the time she wakes up in the morning until she goes to bed at night) in order to allow her to be at home for the next three months and hopefully to help her get back on her feet.
