Hey everyone,
I’m a making this account on behalf of my mother. In early December my mother had appendicitis, which burst and she had to have emergency surgery, where they had to remove a section of her colon. Then on December 31st she went for a follow up visit she and she was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer. After having a few more appointments and a few more tests to make sure the cancer had not spread it was discovered that the cancer had spread to her lung, so she now has stage 4 colon cancer. After starting her first round a chemotherapy, she had to be rushed to the emergency room where they found she has a 60% blockage in her artery. For those who know us we never ask for help or a “handout”, my mother takes pride in working extremely hard and being independent. She is the type of woman who would help anyone with anything they needed, the type to give you the shirt off her back or last dollar. She is a fighter and tough woman and will get through this. With that being said this has been an extreme struggle for her both mentally and physically.  I understand if you can not donate anything but if you can we greatly appreciate it. It would help alleviate some of the stress from the doctors visits as well as her medications and her treatments. She is now out of work and her insurance will be running out shortly, and as of now she has to pay out of pocket for her insurance and we are unsure when she will be able to go back to work. I also would like to just say thank you for everyone’s kind words and prayers during this time. It means more than you can imagine.
