Karen Romero’s Cancer Treatment

Hi all,

My name is Kiley Caletri and I’m writing this to share that my aunt, Karen Romero, was diagnosed with stage 4 HER2 positive breast cancer with liver metastasis last year. Since then she has gone through a variety of treatments including chemotherapy, surgery, and other adjunctive therapies. In addition to the physical and emotional toll of her disease, treatment has created a financial burden as well. Since she is not a candidate for most traditional options at this time, she will be going to Georgia for treatment soon. This will include targeted therapy, metronomic chemotherapy, hyperthermia, and other alternative treatments. Unfortunately, much of these therapies are not covered by her insurance. Many of you have asked how to help so I wanted to create this as an opportunity to do so. If you are not in a place to donate, please include her in your prayers!
