Karen stevens last journey

Donation protected
On Monday 16th December, we sadly lost Karen Stevens, aged 52, after an incredibly short stint in hospital.
Karen unknowingly had terminal cancer which had spread from her breast to other organs resulting in liver failure.
This has been a huge shock to the Stevens family and she leaves behind a young daughter, 5 siblings and her father.
Karen was well known in the Caversham area by both her friends and colleagues at Thameside School and Iceland.
In the short few days since her passing there has already been an outpouring of love and heartfelt messages telling us what she meant to those around her.

The school has spoken on how many admired her and saw her as a strong, beautiful woman whom the children adored. They would run to her in times of need should there be any upset on the playground and she was seen as a kind and caring elder.
She had worked at Iceland for many years with her being a familiar face in the local community, and had friends both in work and as regular customers who she would see during her shifts.

We know that she will be sorely missed by her family and friends and this news has sent a shockwave of unmeasurable proportions.

We wish to ensure Karen has the send off she deserves and need your help to do so. Any donations are gratefully received to put towards funeral costs. Anything over and above that we manage to raise will be donated to the relevant charities to ensure we can beat this terrible disease and no one has to suffer.
